Donnie Ray Bode

April 20, 1963 — October 26, 2019

Donnie Ray Bode, born April 20, 1963, died Oct. 26, 2019 at the age of 56. Donnie was born to Sylvia Day and adopted by Robert G. Bode and Doris Watson Bode.

He is survived by his mom, Sylvia Day; his wife, Trisha; two sons, Robert Bode and Joey (Joseph) Bode; a grandson, Bryce Bode; and hopefully a soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Tonya Douthit; two brothers, Robert Bode and Sidney Smith; two sisters, Sarah Hornsby and Christy Parker; and Uncle Stanley; many nieces and nephews; and father- and mothers-in-law, Melvin and Shirley Wright; and brother- and sisters-in-law, Marty Wright and Toni Wright Mackey; and many friends; also his animals, Abby, Blondie, Pistol Pete, Mojo, Buttercup and Trixie.

He was an avid bowler, and loved teaching others how to bowl, adults and kids especially. He worked with the youth at the bowling alley and tried to get something going at schools with bowling. When it came to bowling he was very competitive, especially when it came to bowling with his boys. He also loved to cook for family and others, and had also won barbecue contests.

There will be a Memorial Service from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Westside Park Community Hall in Marble Falls, 1704 2nd Street. Please come by and join the family and friends in celebrating his life. Thanks to all that have offered prayers and thoughts for us at this time.
