Raymond Kilwien

June 2, 1940 — November 6, 2019

Raymond Kilwien of Spicewood, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 6, 2019. He was born to the late Ralph and Eva Kilwien on June 2, 1940 and raised in Billings Montana. His loving wife and partner of 33 years, Donna Kilwien, cared for him in their home and was by his side as he passed.

Ray is survived by his brothers, Ed and Leonard; sisters, Lorraine Kilwien and Loretta Martin; children, Sherri Hernandez, Richard and Jonathan; step-children, Jessica Risenhoover and Wesley Wyatt; and numerous grandchildren.

Ray served in the Navy on the USS Bon Homme Richard and moved to Texas after honorably completing his military enlistment. During his life Ray pursued various interests including working as a truck driver and owning a truck stop. He loved God and enjoyed wood-working, fishing, golf and watching old westerns. After Ray retired, he and Donna moved to Spicewood Beach where they enjoyed the close-knit community. Everyone loved Ray and we are grateful for the love and support shown by neighbors.

Memorial services will be held at Spicewood Baptist Church on Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice Austin. Raymond's family is eternally grateful for their care and guidance. Donations can be made online at hospiceaustin.org; over the phone at 512-342-4769; or via mail at Hospice Austin, 4107 Spicewood Springs Road, Suite 100, Austin Texas 78759.
