Clyde Dale Wimberly

December 23, 1939 — November 20, 2019

Clyde Dale Wimberly, age 79, of Burnet Texas, passed away November 20, 2019 at his home in Burnet, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25 at Jenkins Funeral Home, 109 North Main Sreet, Burnet, Texas. A visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday just prior to the funeral.

He will be buried at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26 with Military Honors at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.

Clyde was born in Canyon Valley, Texas on December 23, 1939. He grew up in the Texas Panhandle and South Texas. He was the seventh of eight children born into John and Margaret Wimberly.

Clyde served eight years in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam Veteran. Clyde studied at Angelo State University and Texas State Technical College. He worked in the Telecommunications field for 35 years. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Marble Falls as well as the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the American Legion.

Clyde loved and was dedicated to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years, Perry Lea Wimberly of Hart, Texas; two daughters, Cindy and husband Sean Hoey of Cedar Park, Texas and Kamie and husband Patrick Walker of Willow Park, Texas. Clyde had four grandchildren, Nicki Martin, Cassye Harrelson, Cayla Braun, and Josh Hoey; and five great-grandchildren, Levi Marin, Cayten Harrelson, Ryker Martin, Fowler Harrelson and Joselyn Martin.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to either Fellowship Baptist Church of Marble Falls or to Altus Hospice in the name of Clyde Dale Wimberly.

In his words to his family, “I Love you to the Moon and back.” Dad, you will be forever in our hearts.
