She enjoyed personal Bible study, working in her yard, keeping up with her children, grandchildren and extended family, conservative politics, rooting for the San Antonio Spurs and various college sports. She was actively involved in the church of Christ in whatever city she lived.

She also precedes her sister, Virginia and brother-in-law Bob Askew; her sister, Patricia Stricklen; her brother, Fred Richardson; her brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Becky Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Camp of the Hills, a summer camp and retreat program serving low income children around the state. The family of Nancy Martin wishes to thank everyone who has reached out about her health and expressed loving words of sympathy and condolence.
