Mary Lou Morris

November 2, 1935 — December 2, 2019

Mary Lou Morris, 84, of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully on Dec. 2, 2019, surrounded by her family in the beautiful hill country.

Mary was born in Bartlett, Texas on Nov. 2, 1935 to Willie and Margaret Parker. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas in 1954. It was there that she met Allan, the love of her life.

On June 25, 1954, Mary and Allan were married and started a wonderful family of their own. Their eldest daughter, Teresa, was born in 1955, and their younger daughter, Kelly, was later born in 1961. The four of them shared a life full of love and laughter.

Mary was elegant, loving and so charming. She knew just how to host any gathering and made each and every person who walked through her door feel right at home. She had the remarkable ability to show everyone in her path the most sincere gift of love and compassion – she truly had the grace of a proper southern woman.

Mary had a deep love for her family, her friends, and her sweet dog Dooney, who wanted nothing more than to cuddle in his momma’s warm lap. Her family was everything to her and you always knew how much she loved you and how proud she was of each of you. She will be dearly missed by so many.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Allan; her daughter, Teresa and son-in-law George Farr; her daughter, Kelly and son-in-law Tom Freireich; her grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Michael Beatty, Chris Cunningham and wife Bethany, T.J., Sam, and Macy Freireich; and her great-grandchildren, Ty and Liam Beatty and Wyatt, Lyla and Myles Cunningham. Mary is also survived by her sister-in-law, Frances Ellington; her brothers-in-law, George Morris and Charles Rucker; her beloved nieces, Nona Harbour and Cindy Brown; nephews, Doug Morris, Chuck Rucker and Michael Cowen; and a host of longtime friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Parker; and father, Willie Parker; and sister, Doris Rucker.

A funeral service for Mary Morris will be held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, Texas on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
