Increased development in the Spicewood area has also increased the potential for fire danger within this unincorporated community.
In order to make sure development meets necessary requirements and to promote fire prevention, the Burnet County Emergency Services District No. 9 has hired Sam Stacks as fire marshal while also adopting the 2015 edition of the International Fire Code, which regulates minimum fire safety requirements for new and existing buildings, facilities, storage and processes. …
