Burnet County to implement state-mandated cyber training

Burnet County government employees who do any work using county-owned computers will have to take a mandated cybersecurity course each year, starting this month.

House Bill 3834, which was signed by Gov. Greg Abbott last year, requires all state and local government employees and contractors to complete a yearly training program certified by the Department of Information Resources. That law has been codified into Texas Government Code Section 2054.5191. …
