Helen Lee Reid, age 86, passed away peacefully Jan. 3, 2020 due to natural causes. She was born July 20, 1933 in Call, Texas to Marvin and Bertha Hodge. She attended Lamar University where she met Francis Ray Reid while she was cleaning her new Oldsmobile. They enjoyed 50 years of marriage until Ray passed.

Helen was a “giver” to most people. She started her professional career as an elementary teacher in Houston. Followed that by migrating into a counselor role. She reached many children and families through her work in Houston schools.

Helen’s next two steps where as a business owner when she opened and managed two stores just around corner from our home in Spicewood, Texas. Both businesses where successes and where sold when the time came.

Her last job was back in the Fort Bend Schools in Katy Texas. She was a Quest teacher.

All of Helen’s teaching and business endeavors provided her the chance to help people. Opportunities she always fully fulfilled as best as she could.

Please join us celebrating her life. Viewing will take place Thursday night, Jan. 9, 2020 from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 10 starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home 1805 US Highway 281, Marble Falls, Texas 78654.
