Cora Elaine Sears

September 2, 1932 — January 17, 2020

Cora Elaine Sears, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 17, 2020.

Elaine was born in Dallas, Texas on Sept. 2, 1932, to Marvin Lee Elliott and Mary Elizabeth Parten Elliott. Elaine graduated from Sunset High School in 1949.

Elaine married Colonel Bobby J. Sears (Retired) on Sept. 1, 1951, in Dallas, Texas. They were married for 68 years. Elaine’s “career” included being a devoted Air Force wife and mother to her four children. In addition, Elaine was a devout Christian, always willing to serve others.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Colonel Bobby J. Sears (Retired); two sons, Douglas Elliott Sears and his wife Ann, David Earl Sears and his wife Deana; two daughters, Kelley Lynn Peavler and her husband Lawrence, and Elizabeth Elaine Glosson and her husband Julius. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as two nieces, Pamela Elaine Jurlina and Jerri Leigh Peiffer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Lee Elliott and Mary Elizabeth Parten Elliott; and her sister, Marilyn Elliott Calfee.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. at the Marble Falls Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Burnet County Child Welfare Board, 1104 W. Buchanan Drive, Suite 2, Burnet, Texas 78611, 512-755-5776.
