While some larger businesses may be keeping an eye on their profits during the COVID-19 pandemic, Alex Payson and his employees at Numinous Coffee Roasters are making dough of their own — for bread.

With inside dining at his family-owned coffee shop closed following Gov. Greg Abbott's executive order, Payson and his staff have created a temporary bakery and are using the space to bake homemade bread that is being donated to The Helping Center and to the Highland Lakes Crisis Network. …
