Marble Falls merchants adjust to curbside service

UPDATE: On April 2, owners of the Blue Bonnet Cafe announced they would be closing their doors due to the Coronavirus concerns.

As soon as Kate Heylman noticed the pop-up canopy in the Blue Bonnet Cafe parking lot on March 27, she did not hesitate to stop and place an order for biscuits and gravy.

“I bought a car in North Dakota two weeks ago and everything happened. I had heard about it (Bluebonnet Cafe), when I was planning my trip to Texas.”

Heylman did not let the coronavirus scare dissuade her from taking her trip, yet acknowledged she understood the added precautions which have accompanied the worldwide coronavirus scare.

“I decided to swing by, and I am glad it was open,” she said. “People definitely are nervous, going out, especially if they're flying.”

Blue Bonnet Cafe Owner David Plante said he and his crew have adjusted to the statewide and county disaster orders to shutter dining areas. …
