Mobile COVID-19 testing coming to Llano County

A limited number of Llano County residents will have a chance to be tested for COVID-19 at a mobile testing lab that will be set up in Llano on Tuesday, April 28.

The Texas Department State Health Services (DSHS), the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), and the Texas Military Department (TMD) will be conducting testing between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Llano Junior High parking lot, 400 E. Texas 71, Llano.

Anyone wishing to be tested must either call 512-883-2400 or go to txcovidtest.org to be screened for symptoms, risk factors, and schedule an appointment. Testing is free and will only be provided to individuals who have previously registered and are displaying at least one or more COVID-19 symptoms such as:

• Fever;

• Cough:

• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing;

• Chills;

• Repeated shaking with chills;

• Muscle pain;

• Headache;

• Sore throat; or

• New loss of taste or smell

Since March 18, at least 24 Llano County residents have been tested at various locations including the Llano County Local Health Authority, Baylor Scott & White Hospital at Marble Falls on Texas 71, Hill County Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg, and Seton Hospital in Georgetown.
