Burnet County Health Authority updates public on COVID-19 numbers

Three new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Burnet County during the past weekend, bringing the number of confirmed positives to 17, the county's health authority said.

Fortunately, the county has received back 12 confirmed negatives on 14 tests conducted Thursday, April 23, at the Burnet County Fairgrounds by Ascension Seton Highland Lakes, Dr. Juliette Madrigal said.

Information released Sunday, April 26, about the ages, genders and locations of 14 previous confirmed positive cases show more cases have taken place in the northern end of the county and patients are split evenly among males and females. …
