Texas Army National Guard to offer free tests at Marble Falls fire hall

Burnet County residents can get tested for COVID-19 if they are exhibiting symptoms at a mobile test site at the Marble Falls Fire Rescue station on Tuesday, May 12.
The testing location will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through a partnership with the Texas Department of Health and Human Services, the Texas Army National Guard, along with the Texas Division of Emergency Management. An appointment will be required to be tested.
Those seeking testing will be screened to see if they have fever and/or chils, sore throat, cough (dry or productive), headaches, fatigue, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, body aches/muscle or joint pain, nasal congestion, shortness of breath or loss of taste and/or smell.

Similar mobile testing was conducted at the Burnet County Fairgrounds in Burnet on April 25 and at the Llano Junior High in Llano on April 28. Burnet County Judge James Oakley said 50 people were tested in Burnet and 47 came back as negative, two more are “presumed negative” and another test was found to be “indeterminate.” …
