Gerald Eugene Shaffer died peacefully on Sunday, March 4, at the age of 87.

Gerald Shaffer was born on Sept. 17, 1930, in Marble Falls, Texas. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and proudly served 26 years with the United States Border Patrol. He married his wife, Helen Ruth Shaffer, in 1958. They were married for 31 years when she passed away in November 1989.

Victor O. McCuller, 79, of Marble Falls, Texas passed away February 15, 2018. He was born to Andrew and Odell McCuller in Ashdown Arkansas.

Victor served his country in the US Airforce which brought him to Austin. He lived, worked and raised his family there for more than 47 years. Upon retirement, he and his wife moved to Marble Falls, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean McCuller, daughter Vickie McCuller, son Vaughn McCuller, daughter Rhonda Bowles and husband Larry, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brother John McCuller and wife Jeanenne, sister-in-law Yvonne Frazier and husband Richard, and nephews Lance Frazier and wife Julie, and Lane Frazier and wife Michelle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Betty Gentry.

Lena Wittekiend (née Gabbert) died peacefully at home at the Country Oaks Assisted Living facility in Burnet, Texas, at the age of 97.

Lena is survived by her children, Ken Wittekiend and wife Judy, and Stewart Wittekiend and wife Jill, all of Burnet, Texas, and Paula Bartels of Brenham, Texas. She leaves10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Wittekiend Sr., in 2005.

Jerry Reinke, 85, of Granite Shoals, Texas, passed away Feb. 9, 2018, peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Jerry was born to John and Anne (McPhee) Reinke on April 18, 1932, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.

Jerry loved his work as a mechanical engineer. He and Betty traveled the world working on various electrical projects. He held a pilot license and loved to fly, he was an avid reader, and collected and appreciated unique classic cars.
