Ilene C. Perkett, 70, of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 9, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her family. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Nettie Goldman Weissfeld and the spouse of Charles R. Perkett. A graduate of The University of Maryland and the University of Connecticut with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, she also attended the Maryland Institute College of Art, Bachelor of Fine Arts Program.

Florence E. Buchenau was born on May 27, 1914 and died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at her residence in Gateway Gardens Assisted Living. She was 103. She had been a long-time residence of Deerhaven and member of The Church at Horseshoe Bay.
Florence (Flo) was predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. Robert Buchenau (ret.) and was the great love of his life. She was also predeceased by her only brother, Alfred Burk; her daughter, Barbara Garcia; and her grandson, Robert Burk Littrell. She is survived by her daughter, Liz Littrell; and her grandchildren, Abigail Garcia, David Littrell, and Lori McDonnell.
 Flo was a dedicated Christian, a teacher, a golfer, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was always full of fun and wit and was loved by all who knew her.

Fred Hays Holland was born on his family's ranch in the Mormon Mill community outside Marble Falls, Texas, on January 27 1928. On November 18, 1950, Fred Holland married the love of his life, Billie Jean Hatcher.

Fred Holland ran the family ranch from age 19, when his father died, until shortly before his death. While ranching was always his primary work, Fred Holland also worked for 36 years at Granite Mountain. He later worked for his wife's interior design business, and other interior designers, as a drapery installer.

Helen Wilson Haney, beloved mother of Suzzanne Haney of Burnet, Texas; sister of Jeraldine Jeffres of Victoria, Texas; and grandmother to Logan Skoog of Anchorage, Alaska, and Blake Skoog of Denton, Texas; along with being an aunt to many nieces and nephews; passed away July 15, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wesley Coleman Haney, and son, David Wesley Haney.

One of six children, she was born in Fargo, Texas, on January 5, 1929 to Roy and Hattie Wilson.

Wendel Ray Bickett Sr. went to be with the Lord on July 16, 2017, at the age of 64. He was born in Morton, Texas, on July 22, 1952. He is proceeded in death by his father, mother and brother.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Marie; his five children; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was loved by all who knew him and will be terribly missed.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 18, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Chapel in Kingsland, Texas.

Brian graduated with honors from Burnet High School in 2014, where he played on the varsity basketball and tennis teams. He was currently attending Texas A&M University where he was studying Ocean Engineering and was to graduate in May. Brian was a die-hard Aggie and receiving his Aggie ring was one of his proudest moments.

Gaynelle Draper, 84, of Kingsland, passed away June 28, 2017. She was born to William H. and Mary (Floy) Stringer on December 24, 1932, in Big Spring, Texas.

Gay worked in the computer field in data entry and was a member of the First Christian Church in Austin, Texas. Her hobbies included square dancing, fishing, camping, sewing and being with family.

She married Jerry Draper on March 19, 1954, in Austin.
