Susan Blose Batt, 63, died June 10, with her husband by her side, after a courageous 3½-year battle with glioblastoma. She leaves behind to mourn, her husband, parents, children, grandchildren, her brother, her sisters-in-law and her nephews. No one who knew Susan could forget her smile and her open arms.
A secular celebration of Susan’s life will be held Tuesday July 18, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Kingsland Community Center. Please bring pictures and memories.

Steven Alan Williams, 73, passed away on June 17, 2017, at his home in Georgetown. He was born November 6, 1943, to Wiley Alan Stoner and Jo Frances Stoner. His father, a naval aviator, was killed in combat when Steven was less than a year old.

He and his mother returned to Dallas, where in time she married Delbert Williams. Delbert, Steven’s “second father,” adopted Steven giving him his surname, Williams.

Gerdina Kamst Myers

Gerdina Kamst Myers entered into eternal rest on June 17, 2017, at the age of 86. Born in Holland, the youngest of 12 children, she survived the Nazi occupation to marry an American soldier and the love of her life. Gerdina and Maynard Myers’ union of 61 years produced Ollie Ann Pool and Frances Myers Scott, as well as three grandchildren, Hillary Pool Lidell, Haley Pool and Hanna Pool De Faria, and three great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family also survive.

Clayford “Clay” Ryan White

Clayford “Clay” Ryan White, 67, of Leander, passed away at Seton Medical Center in Austin, on Monday, June 12.

Clay was born in Wichita, Kansas on January 31st, 1950 and was soon after adopted, along with his sister Julia, by Frank and Norline White.

He graduated from Minneapolis High and after a brief stint in college he joined the U.S. Navy on May 1st, 1969 and served for 20 years.

While at training camp he met the love of his life, Judy Marie Turri, and they were married in Memphis, Tennessee on August 1, 1970.

They spent 43 glorious years of marriage together.

After leaving the Navy he moved to Austin, and worked for a variety of technology companies, finally retiring from DPS in 2015.

Clay was passionate about religious studies and earned a Master’s Degree in Theology from Creighton University.

Betty Lou Mobley, 86, of Bryan, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Family received friends on Friday, April 21, at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.

Betty was born in Memphis and was raised Methodist. After moving to Bryan, she attended Central Baptist Church along with her husband Truett.

Herminia Frausto, 75, passed away on June 11, 2017 in her home. Born to Julian and Ofelia Beltran in Blanco, Texas, she was a lifelong area resident of the area. Herminia worked as a caregiver and will be remembered as a caring, loving, devoted mother and for her unwavering faith and love of the Lord. She will be dearly missed.

Herminia is survived by her daughter, Teresa Martinez; son, Adam Martinez; brothers, Manuel, Ramon, and Frank Beltran; sister, Mary Martinez, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren.

Fay Salem passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

She was born Alice Fay Brantley on May 25, 1933, in Phenix City, Alabama, to the late Hazel and Frank Brantley.

She was married to John P. Salem Jr. and the couple recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on Feb. 14.

The couple lived in Marble Falls for 40 years.

Prior to Marble Falls they lived in Port Arthur.

She was a graduate of Central High School of Phenix City.

She was a devoted Christian and was a member of First Baptist Church of Marble Falls.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Throughout her life she has been a faithful servant in many church and civic organizations where she has made wonderful friends and been a joy to all.

Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
