James H. Walker, 95, of Horseshoe Bay, passed away on July 23, 2014. He was born to James Thomas and Jenny Mae (Jones) Walker on July 25, 1918 in Weatherford. James proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II serving with the USS Essex Air group nine and he served as a volunteer fireman at Sandy Harbor since 1982. James is survived by several nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Helen McCoy. An online guest register may be signed at www.PutnamCares.com. Graveside services will be held on August 9, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Burnet, with Rev George Harrivel and the Highland Lakes Honor Guard officiating.
