Villa Dal Lago rebranded
By Alexandria Randolph
The Villa Dal Lago condominium development on RR 2147 will be rebranded for the third time, with a new name and design.
In a meeting Tuesday, Jan. 6, Marble Falls City Council leaders unanimously approved an amendment to the original zoning of the development, allowing new owner WorldMark the Club, a subsidiary of Wyndham Resorts, to redesign the as-of-yet-unfinished complex.
Marble Falls Development Services Director Caleb Kraenzel said the original developer designed the condominium community as Riverscapes, only to rebrand it as Villa Dal Lago before it was foreclosed. Seguine Affordable Housing took possession of the development, before WorldMark The Club became owner.
“That hillside (property) has been treated badly and this is an opportunity to finish that project,” said Wyndham real estate attorney Jeff Howard, of McLean & Howard, LLP, to council. “This is in compliance with your master plan. The density is less than the current zoning would allow. Wyndham will bring an excellent product to the city of Marble Falls.”
WorldMark officials said they hope to have the first phase completed by the end of 2015.
