MFISD announces information sessions for parents
Marble Falls Independent School District is holding annual round-up for parents interested in learning more about the district’s half-day pre-kindergarten and full-day kindergarten programs offered for the 2015-2016 school year.
To be eligible for pre-kindergarten, a child needs to be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2015.
The event is scheduled for Monday, May 4-Friday, May 8, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m. each day.
During the Round-up, parents of potential pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students are invited to visit the office of their local campus to pick up general information about the program.
Parents of pre-kindergarten children may indicate preferences of morning or afternoon sessions. Parents of both pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students will receive information about required immunizations.
To meet the important developmental needs of pre-kindergarten students, MFISD will offer two half-day sessions each day. The half-day sessions provide three hours of instruction per session and are designed for the youngest students, who often need a shorter day to maintain focused learning.
Morning session students will have to be picked up from school at 10:45 a.m. Afternoon session students will have to be dropped off at 11:40 a.m.
Breakfast service and morning transportation will be provided for morning session students. Lunch service and afternoon transportation will be provided for afternoon session students.
Final registration begins August 10.
Call the campus registrar or principal for questions about MFISD’s pre-kindergarten or kindergarten programs. Registration information will be available at the Round-up and on the MFISD District web site at http://marblefallsisd.org/.
