Donald Eugene Lovekamp passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.

Known simply as "Don," he was born on March 31, 1951, in Beardstown, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Milton George Henry Lovekamp; his mother, Dorothy Ellen Thomas Lovekamp, and a brother, Arla Lovekamp.
He is survived by: two brothers, Jay Lovekamp of Meredosia, Illinois, and David Lovekamp of Jacksonville, Illinois.
He is also survived by: his wife of 25 years, Nancy; daughters, Katarina Hastings of Granite Shoals, Texas, Tracy Bauers of Spicewood, Texas, Tammy Buchanan of Springfield, Illinois, and Angela Elizondo of Haltom City, Texas, and, a son, James Dale Lovekamp of Greenville, South Carolina.

Don also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren to include his beloved great-granddaughter, Sofia Matalee Reynozo, whom he spent many playful hours with everyday.
For anyone who knew Don, they knew him as the hardest working man they ever met.

For years he should have been resting due to his illness, but this man continued to perform the duties of his job well above any standard that anyone could set.

He was never one to give up, give in or quit until he was forced due to illness.
He cared deeply for his family and, at one point, was taking care of several grandchildren and raising one of them like she was his own– a role he took very seriously until his last breath.
There will be no services as Don's wishes were to be cremated and asked for no big scene.
The family will have a private service at a later date to spread his ashes and say their last words.
Remember him for who he was: a caring and hard-working person.

He would not want anyone to grieve for him but rather celebrate for he was going to a better place and one day will see us again.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls.
