Ben William Warton II went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at the age of 68 years.
He was born on April 7, 1947, in Stamford, Texas, the son of Ben “Bill” William Warton Sr. and Pauline Warton.
He attended Sweetwater High School, Western Texas College and Texas Tech University.
Ben was a minister at the Snyder First Baptist Church, director of MHMR in Abilene, Texas, director of Bluebonnet MHMR in Marble Falls and a private practice counselor in Marble Falls, Texas.
The many people who were blessed to have known Ben knew him as the most loving and gentle individual they had ever met.
With a servant's heart, influential counsel and sensitivity towards others needs, Ben never missed a moment to be there for someone.
His inspirational guidance and overwhelming tender spirit will live on through the many people he became close with throughout his lifetime.
Ben was utterly devoted to his children and grandchildren while never missing an opportunity to be with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Julie Warton of Austin; a daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Brently Irvin of Abilene; a son, Ben William Warton III of Dallas; a daughter, Kaitlyn Warton of Abilene; three granddaughters, Lauren Irvin, Ellen Irvin and Kathryn Irvin of Abilene, and a niece, Tamara Warton of Austin.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Sweetwater Church of Christ, 400 Elm Street in Sweetwater, Texas.
