Lindsey Elaine Walker, 60, of Marble Falls, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2015, in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Lindsey was born on Feb. 1, 1955, in Lubbock, Texas, to John Clifford Teel and Deloris Stanley Teel. She was the only girl out of four siblings.
Lindsey married Roy Wayne Walker in El Paso on Aug. 10, 1974, and they had a special relationship filled with lots of love. He survives.
Lindsey worked as a paraprofessional for different school districts including Kermit Independent School District (ISD,) Odessa ISD, and Johnson City ISD.
She loved children, and she especially enjoyed teaching them. Lindsey had a positive energy that she passed on to everyone she worked with.
She was a Christian woman who loved God. Anyone who met her knew of her love for Him by her words and actions.
In addition to the love she had for the Lord, she also loved her husband, Roy, and their two sons.
She also found great joy in being with her four grandchildren, having a special bond with each one of them.
She was preceded in death by: her father, John Teel, and a brother, Michael Roden Teel.
Lindsey is survived by: her husband of 41 years, Roy Wayne Walker; mother, Deloris Teel; sons, John Rey Walker and wife, Jill, of Tomball, Texas, Matthew Jack Walker and wife, Erin, of Wink, Texas; grandchildren Albany Mary Carolyn Walker, Joel Rivers Walker, Jackson Wayne Jones Walker and Jorja Layne Walker; brothers, John Daniel Teel and Mark Allen Teel, plus many other family and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Amy Offutt and staff, Dr. Thomas Aung and staff, Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Hill Country Memorial Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
A memorial service for Lindsey will be held this Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the Marble Falls Church of Christ, 711 Broadway, Marble Falls. Greg Neill and Lindsey’s cousin, Terry Savoie, will officiate.
