DeLancey pleads guilty to 55 years in child rape case

Former Marble Falls ISD employee Deavon Ashley DeLancey has pled guilty on Wednesday, Oct. 28, to 55 years without parole in a child sexual assault case that broke open in June 2014.
DeLancey, a 32-year-old Cottonwood Shores resident and former fire chief for Cottonwood Shores Volunteer Fire Department and former member of the Marble Falls Area Volunteer Fire Department, pled guilty to child rape and child pornography charges and will face 55 years imprisonment without parole. He will be 87 years old before he has the chance for release.
In district court, DeLancey pled guilty to two counts of super aggravated sexual assault of a child, three counts of possession of child pornography with intent to promote, and two counts of possession of child pornography. District Judge Allan Garrett sentenced DeLancey to 55 years, 20 years and 10 years per charge respectively, to be served concurrently. His incarceration will begin immediately.
DeLancey was initially arrested June 6, 2014 after a Texas Rangers and Texas DPS Troopers investigation involving footage taken from recording devices in the Marble Falls Middle School and Marble Falls High School locker rooms.
