Pamela Fawnette Ingram Hardin was born Nov. 3, 1953, in Portales, New Mexico, to Fawnette and Eugene Ingram. She passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, in Round Rock, Texas.
She is survived by: her husband of 33 years, Dwight Hardin, of Burnet; stepsons, Justin Hardin (Brittany and Ethan) of Paxton, Nebraska, and Jared Hardin (Andrea, Ava, Lane and Luke) of Sutherland, Nebraska; brothers, Kim Ingram (CiCi) of Lakeland, Florida, and Kevin Ingram (Charlene) of Longview, Texas; mother-in-law, Carolyn Hardin of Round Rock, Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Pam grew up in El Paso, Texas, and her family moved to Austin during her senior year in high school.
She started working at Tracor in 1976 and, under the tutelage of Faye Word and Murray Shaw, eventually became the EEO officer for the company.
She retired in 1996, after she and Dwight moved to Burnet and built their dream log home.
She found employment and a dear friend when she went to work for Pat’s Temporary Agency in Marble Falls, Texas.
Pat kept Pam busy for many years in various local businesses and Pam always enjoyed the diversity of working for Pat.
Pam enjoyed weekend trips to local wineries with sister in-law, Connie Stried, and her husband, Ken Carson, and family get-togethers at Carolyn’s house in Round Rock.
Pam loved to travel, especially if the route would pass by a casino.
She especially loved Ruidoso and all things New Mexican.
Over the years, Pam endured many surgeries to repair and replace various joints and bones in her body. She often joked that she alone probably paid for her orthopedic surgeons’ kids’ college education.
The family would like to thank the ER staff at Seton Highland Lakes and the Trauma Team and ICU staff at Seton Williamson County for their efforts to try to save her.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Beck Chapels, 170 CR 214 in Liberty Hill, Texas, starting at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Pam’s name to the American Cancer Society.
