Party conventions set for Saturday
Burnet County political party conventions have been set for Saturday, March 19, in Burnet.
Republican Delegates from precinct conventions will elect delegates to their state party convention, May 12-14, at a meeting at the Sylvester H. Reed Memorial Building, 402 East Jackson Street.
They will begin with registration and a pancake breakfast to hear candidates. Guests are invited to observe the grassroots process on a first-come-first-served basis, according to Donna Wilcox, Republican county chairwoman.
- 8 a.m. - Registration & Pancake Breakfast & Elected Official and Candidate Comments
- 9 a.m. - County Convention
- 11:30 a.m. - Tentative Convene

Registration for the Democratic county convention will begin at 10 a.m. at the Burnet County Courthouse, 220 South Pierce Street, in Burnet, or registration is available in advance for the 10:30 a.m. meeting online at www.Register.txdemocrats.org.
Delegates must have voted in the Democratic Primary, but anyone is invited to attend and observe, according to Ronald LeVick Sr., Democratic party chairman.
Delegates elected will attend the state party convention to be held in San Antonio at the Alamodome, June 16-18.
