Florence Anne Dippel Malitz, 96, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at an Austin area hospital.
She was born on June 30, 1919, in Brenham, Texas, to Annie Ustynik and Wilhelm Dippel.
On May 20, 1938, she married Robert Charles Malitz, III in Houston, Texas.
They were married 66 years until his death in 2005.
She was an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Marble Falls for many years.
She and Robert enjoyed many miles of driving trips across the US.
In recent years, her real joy was a boat ride on Lake LBJ and spending the day outside at the lake with her family.
She is survived by daughters Sally Jones and husband Ron of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Nancy Bennett of Burnet; son John Malitz and wife Claudia of San Antonio, as well as grandchildren Chris Jones and wife Jana, Steve Jones, Matt Jones and wife Lesley, Rhonda Bennett Posey and husband Allen, Ryan Malitz and wife Lauren, Stephanie Malitz Mitchell and husband Jimmy and Natalie Malitz Brown and husband Tim; 15 great-grandchildren with number 16 on the way.
A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 1 p.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 1803 FM 1431, Marble Falls, Texas.
