Glenn A. Crews
Glenn A. Crews, 79, the gentle giant and longtime resident of Buchanan Dam has been called by the Lord to rest in peace.
He died peacefully at home after a strong battle against cancer.
He was born in Eastland, Texas on March 18, 1937.
His parents were Clarence and Cecil (Seale) Crews.
Glenn worked for Phillips Food Mart in Buchanan Dam and for Bill Smith Propane in Marble Falls.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Ciscie Cox Crews; son, Terry Crews and his wife Susie; two grandsons, Ethan and Ryder Crews; daughter, Dondi Crews Lehmann and her husband, Terry; grandsons, Skyler Jayroe, J.T. Jayroe, Josh Jayroe; step-children, Jamie and Jayson Cox; step granddaughters, Breanna and Madison Cox, and two great-grandchildren; sister Audrey Wendell.
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Not only will he be greatly missed by his friends and family, but by his faithful companion to the end, “Rufus”.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, John Cox.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Putnam Funeral Home Chapel, 145 Texas Avenue, Kingsland, Texas.
The Reverend Jonathan Juedes officiated.
