Park fast and hop on the Mustang Express

Parking for Marble Falls High School (MFHS) Mustang football and Lady ‘Stangs volleyball has two overflow options and fans can depend on the Mustang Express Shuttle to get to the games, even on the most crowded nights.

For the best parking for Friday game nights this fall, the following parking tips from the Marble Falls Independent School District (MFISD) will be helpful to gain the most convenient access to events:

• Volleyball fans should arrive early to park in the “Home” parking off Mustang Drive for access to the Max Copeland Gym.

• Handicap parking for football is available off Mustang Drive behind the MFHS band hall. Handicap parking for Volleyball is available adjacent to the Max Copeland Gym.

• Once the “Home” parking fills on home football game nights, home fans will be directed to the “Visitors” parking lot off Manzano Drive. After the “Visitors” lot fills, fans will be directed to the Colt Elementary School parking farther north on the Manzano Mile to ride the Mustang Express Shuttle.

• Volleyball and football fans planning to park in the “Home” parking lot and heading toward Marble Falls High School on Ranch to Market Road 1431 east from town are encouraged to arrive early and to stay in the left lane for their left turn onto Mustang Drive. Football fans planning to park in the “Visitors” lot off Manzano Drive or at Colt Elementary are encouraged to stay in the right lane on 1431 until they pass Mustang Drive.

“Parking is limited on the Home-side off 1431 and down Mustang Drive,” said MFISD Assistant Superintendent Jeff Gasaway. “Combine the limited Home-side parking for a home football game, and a home volleyball game the same night, and Home-side parking will fill up fast.

“To help our fans get into and out of the stadium safely and conveniently, after both the Home and Visitors lots fill, we will run the Mustang Express Shuttle through the first quarter, and again after the end of the football game,” said Gasaway. “The Mustang Express from Colt Elementary offers convenient parking and a short (less than 5-minute) drive to Mustang Stadium. The shuttle offers handicap access and will run (if both Home and Visitors lots are full) every 15 minutes.

”Fans directed to Colt Elementary to park will ride the shuttle to the Visitor’s Gate for drop-off into Mustang Stadium. From the Visitors side, home fans will be able to walk to their seats on the Home side.”

Following the game, Mustang fans can pick up their Mustang Express shuttle at the Visitors’ Gate for a ride back to Colt Elementary.
