Mary Margaret Naschert Hartley passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016 in Kingsland, Texas at the age of 82.
She was born Dec. 8, 1933 in West Point, Iowa to Frances (Fraise) and Theodore P. Naschert.
She married Thomas Richard Hartley April 28, 1951.
Together they owned Tom and Mary’s Café in West Point, Iowa before moving to Kingsland, Texas in 1972 and owning Lake LBJ Motel and Lake LBJ Marineland. Mary enjoyed fishing, bingo, Sudoku and crossword puzzles.
Everyone at the marina called her “Mom.”
She is survived by son Richard Lee Hartley and wife Nancy of Kingsland, Texas; daughters Betty Brooker of Kingsland, Texas and Debra Walker and husband Rick of Kingsland, Texas; sisters Germaine Sammons of Ft. Madison, Iowa and Dolores McCreedy of Esko, Minnesota; grandchildren Rhonda Lee Jayne of Austin, Texas, Thomas Lee Hartley and wife Christina of Highland Haven, Texas, Amanda Meager of Kingsland, Texas and Terry Moore and husband Jim of Lampasas, Texas; great grandchildren Madison Lee Hartley, Alex Marie Hartley and Noah Richard Hartley of Highland Haven, Texas, Chasity Marie Conn and husband Michael, Darrian Delaney Oustad, Dustan Edward Lee Oustad and Jayden Cooper Jayne of Austin, Texas, Rebecca Lynn Moore and Gracie Dianne Moore of Lampasas, Texas, Haley Nicole Haller, Christopher Daniel Haller, Karrah Lynn Haller and Elizabeth Ann Haller of Winder, Georgia and step great grandson Brody Conn of Marble Falls, Texas.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother, 1 sister and 1 son Jeffrey Allen Hartley.
Rosary will be Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 at the Waldrope-Hatfield-Hawthorne Funeral Chapel in Kingsland, Texas at 6 p.m. Leading the Rosary will be Father Melvin Dornak.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Kingsland, Texas at 10 a.m. with Father Uche Obikwelu officiating followed by a graveside service at the Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet, Texas.
