Kerrville Tivy field goal spoils Marble Falls homecoming
Dalton Mayberry had a big night with two touchdowns, but the Mustangs lost, 17-14.

Kerrville Tivy’s JasOn Zirkel kicked a 26-yard field goal with 1:59 left to give the Antlers a 17-14 come-form-behind victory over Marble Falls Friday at Mustang Stadium.
Tivy scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, getting the tying touchdown from running back Hayden Schreckenbach on a six-yard run with 7:34 left.
Tivy (2-5, 2-2) went just 16 yards for the tying score after Marble Falls had a bad snap in punt formation. Punter Brock Linder managed to gain five yards on the play, but Tivy took over the 16.
First quarterback Karson Valverde hi Ryan Stanton for a quick 10 yards then Schreckenbach ran in from six yards. Zirkel was true with the extra point.
With the game tied 14-14, Marble Falls got the ball back with plenty of time on its 23.
Marble Falls picked up a pair of quick first downs on a pass from Andrew Stripling to Cade Cool and a solid run by Cooper Wilson.
