Lonnie E (Boots) Yates, age 93, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at his home. He was born Sept. 19, 1923, to Gus Davis Yates and Bessie Lee Pigg of Hamilton, Texas. He moved from San Antonio to Marble Falls in 1960 and opened Yates Auto Supply. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marble Falls and became a member of the Blazing Star Masonic Lodge of Marble Falls on June 6, 1957.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Dell; children, Lois Pariseau and husband Gary, Yvonne Yates, Lonnie Yates Jr. and wife Renee; and a sister, Leona Holly. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Christopher Pariseau, Tracey Brewer, Bryan Pariseau, Taylor Yates; and five great grandchildren, Madison Pariseau, Haley Pariseau, Allyson Pariseau, Nathan Brewer and Caleb Greenwood; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 7, at 11 a.m. at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at the funeral home.
There will be a private burial in Hamilton, Texas.
