Bessie “Bess” Blitch

Bessie Cleo Blitch, age 95 of Dayton, formerly of Marble Falls, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Veranda in Dayton.

She was born December 25, 1921 in Houston, to the late Asa Ray and Cleo Stewart Scott.

She is also preceded in death by her husband; Harold Eugene Blitch, as well as her son; Michael Blitch; her great-granddaughter Alisa Impson and her two brothers Ray Scott and Hugh Scott.

Bess grew up and spent most of her life in Texas as a homemaker.

She was also a very active community volunteer wherever she was, and even volunteered up until she was 94 years old.

She enjoyed stained glass needlepoint.

Bess was also very a highly-involved member of the First United Methodist Church in Marble Falls, and was a P.E.O. member.

Bess is survived by her daughter; Maribeth (Keiller) Impson of Dayton, in addition to seven grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

A memorial celebration for Bess will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Bess’s memory to the First United Methodist Church in Marble Falls.
