Irene Margaret Miennert, age 82, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 18.

She was born to Edmond and Ingelborg (Arnoldson) Elliott on March 26, 1935 in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Irene married Raymond John Miennert in Winona, Minnesota May 1, 1954.

She supported and moved with Ray while he served in the United States Army.

Irene and Ray relocated, after his tour of duty, to Milwaukee, Wisconsin remaining there until he completed all of his engineering degree.

They made their home in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Irene will be immensely missed by son; Kevin Alan Miennert (Tonya); daughters Valerie Kaye Brown (Frank) and Rychie Lynn Haines (David)

She is preceded in death by husband of 52 years, Raymond John Miennert; brother Donald Elliott and sister Leona Wright.

Irene was a wonderful homemaker who excelled in cooking, baking, sewing, tending garden and carpooling.

She loved animals, shopping and bowling.

Irene worked side by side with Ray in a family business.

Irene spent spare time with the New Berlin Senior Taxi Service doing volunteer bookkeeping for them.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 25, at 1 p.m. at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel.
