Curtis Neeley

Curtis Neeley was escorted to Paradise by his Angel on Friday, April 7.

His beloved wife, Linda, was by his side.

Curtis was born December 13, 1936, in Rotan, and raised in Miles and San Angelo.

He graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in accounting, and was a CPA most of his adult life.

He worked in Houston, El Paso, and Midland before he and Linda moved to Horseshoe Bay in 1993.

After he retired, he bought the The Bottle Shop in Horseshoe Bay, which he operated for a few years.

When he sold it, he began working for Ruth Newman, CPA, Horseshoe Bay.

Curtis loved people, and was known for his story telling skills.

He loved to fish in Rockport.

He loved sailing.

He loved to read, and he and Linda travelled extensively.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda Jackson Neeley; his son David Neeley of California; his sister Rita Adams of Dallas; brothers Ron of Cedar Creek Lake and his wife Melodie, Dan and his partner Barbara and Morris of Rockport, 5 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private interment in Carbon at a later date.
