The Marble Falls Independent School District (MFISD) is inviting feedback on its new website before it goes live in July.

A temporary link, http://Preview.MarbleFallsISD.org, has been established to access a red-button guide to the survey, although first-time visitors directly to www.MarbleFallsISD.org may receive the offer of the survey as well.

“Our hope is that users will find that the new website is more user- friendly,” said Jeff Gasaway, assistant superintendent of administrative services. “We will incorporate the survey feedback into the new design to help make the website as easy to navigate as possible.”

Once the June website survey feedback is incorporated, the new MFISD website will go live at its regular web address, www.MarbleFallsISD.org. Users will not have to change their computer settings or contact lists. The transition to the new site is to be seamless.

“Our website committee, comprised of community members, parents, teachers, paras, administrators, and technology staff, started working on the new website last fall,” said Nathan Fink,MFISD technology director. “We identified what improvements our users wanted, then selected five web design and hosting companies to review. From the five companies, we narrowed it to three companies, interviewed each, and ultimately selected Blackboard as the district’s new web host.”

Here are some of the improvements the new site will deliver to help make accessing district information easier:

  • consistent layout from campus-to-campus

  • easier navigation

  • more modern design

  • easy-to-read format that looks good on any size device

  • user-friendly update capabilities for staff members

The current MFISD website is still available at www.MarbleFallsISD.org, but you are encouraged to check out the new website, preview and play with it over the summer. The district plans to transition to the new format in time for the start of school.
