Helen Wilson Haney

January 25, 1929 — July 15, 2017

Helen Wilson Haney, beloved mother of Suzzanne Haney of Burnet, Texas; sister of Jeraldine Jeffres of Victoria, Texas; and grandmother to Logan Skoog of Anchorage, Alaska, and Blake Skoog of Denton, Texas; along with being an aunt to many nieces and nephews; passed away July 15, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wesley Coleman Haney, and son, David Wesley Haney.

One of six children, she was born in Fargo, Texas, on January 5, 1929 to Roy and Hattie Wilson.

Helen graduated from Northside High School, then went to work for a local doctors office before she married Wesley and devoted herself as a homemaker to raise her two children.

Helen was active in her church community with a servant’s heart at Marble Falls Church of Christ. She loved to play bridge, read many books, and was a world traveler. She was her granddaughters' biggest fan and would travel great distances to watch them in all of their endeavors. She was devoted to spending time with her family and friends whom she loved dearly.

Helen was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the Marble Falls Church of Christ, 711 Broadway St, Marble Falls, on Wednesday, July 19, at 10 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Fargo Church of Christ, c/o Larry Latimer, P.O. Box 6, Oklaunion, TX 76373.
