Eugene Herbert “Buba” Johns Jr. of Granite Shoals, Texas, passed away July 31, 2017, in Tyler, Texas, with his children by his side. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on October 17, 1950, the only child to Eugene Herbert Johns Sr. and Lotus Johns and Sarah Frances Ledford. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Foster and Eula Johns.

He is survived by his two sons, Shane Foster Johns and wife Lorri, and Terry Eugene Johns and wife Kelly. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, his dear cousins and many friends.

Eugene had a great love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing and especially the deer that roamed free in his backyard, not to mention his late dog Tracker. He also had a deep love for racing cars. Eugene was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Eugene asked the Lord into his heart and was baptized on June 13, 2017

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet, Texas.
