Steven G. Hawley

March 12, 1954 — May 31, 2017

Steve Hawley, 63, long time resident of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away on May 31, 2017.

Steve was born in Austin, Texas, on March 12, 1954. He graduated from McCallum High School and continued on to receive a business degree from St. Edward’s University in Austin.

Steve was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, hiking, collecting rocks, road trips in his beloved van and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed his home, gardening and his animal family.

Steve is survived by his wife, Libby Hawley; her children, Asa Pollard of Oregon; Jessica Spees of Dallas and her children Tommi, Lynsi and Molli; and Chris Pollard of Houston and his children, Sophie and Max; his mother, June Hawley of Austin; sister, Susie Hawley Pittman of Dripping Springs, her life partner Craig and sons Dustin and Dillon; sister, Cindy Mason of Austin, her husband Alden and daughter Lindsay. Steve is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Steve is predeceased by his father, George F. Hawley.

It takes much soul searching to accept it when death comes unexpectedly. We are better for having had Steve in our lives and he will forever be in our hearts. A private Celebration of Life will be held in Steve’s honor on June 24 in Marble Falls.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of America.
