Marjorie Ann Lyon

April 27, 1929 — August 21, 2017

Marjorie Ann Lyon, 88, of Kingsland, went to be with her Lord Monday, Aug. 21, 2017. She was born Sunday, April 27, 1929, in Podunk, Texas.

Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Judy Muzny and husband Frank, Barbara Neveu Bryant, and Paula Reid; her grandchildren, Julie and husband Cory, Joe David, Greg, Jeremy, Barbie, Bobbi and Toby; her great-grandchildren, Cloe, Janzen, Jordan, Alaric, Harlee, Bree, Jaelyn, Kingston, Naveen and Macy; special friends, Mary Nell Lane and Karen Locke; and many other family members and friends.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Edward Lyon; daughter, Lynda Ann Roberts; her grandchildren, Barbie Denise Bryant and Joshua Alaric Taylor; and her parents, Hugo and Annie Schiege Ullrich.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Marble Falls, Texas, on Friday, Aug. 25, at 1 p.m. A visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 26, at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, Texas, from 10 a.m. to noon. A funeral service will be at noon Saturday, Aug. 26, at Rosewood Funeral Home, Humble. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, Humble.

In lieu of flowers, Marjorie asked donations be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; Friends of Hospice, 207 Los Escondidos St., Marble Falls, TX 78654; or St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1803 FM 1431, Marble Falls, TX 78654.

Throughout her career, she was an executive secretary in the oil and gas industry. She loved to volunteer in her community and was an active member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority. Marjorie had a love for traveling, shopping and her family.
