Karen Lei Giles

Karen Lei Giles, 80, of Burnet passed away Oct. 22, 2017. She was born July 24, 1937, in Hilo, Hawaii, to Max Finlayson and Beulah Grabill Finlayson.

She is survived by her daughter, Alicia Ferrill and husband Leroy of Burnet; son Roger Giles and wife Janeen of Brentwood, California; son Gary Giles of Modesto, California; grandchildren Cullen Ferrill, Leland Ferrill, Andrew Giles and Allison Giles; great grandchildren Terrain Ferrill and Levi Ferrill.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Karen was a teacher for many years and later in life was a medical aide in Lander, Wyoming.

She enjoyed drawing and loved being with people. In 2008, she moved to Burnet to live with Alicia and Leroy.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home.
