Arthur “Art” Glen Lund

March 19, 1938 — November 20, 2017

Arthur “Art” Glen Lund, 79, of Granite Shoals, Texas, passed away, Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, with his wife and children at his side.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 306 East Polk, Burnet. Art was born March 19, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois and was a graduate of Lane Technical High School and attended North Park College. On June 16, 1957, he married his best friend Arlove Elizabeth Petersmeyer. Art was a retired Long Distant Gas Pipeline Superintendent for Midcon Corporation, a Boy Scout leader, active member of the NRA and Shooting Club, accomplished and awarded Wood Carver and dedicated husband and father. Art and Arlove were longtime devoted members of Coldsprings United Methodist Church in Coldprings Texas and Spirit of Joy United Methodist Church in Coolidge, Arizona.

Art is survived by his wife, Arlove Elizabeth Lund; a son, Timothy Arthur Lund; and four daughters, Elizabeth Anne Dusek, Laura Jean King, Christina Marie Brestel, and Jennifer Lynn Menard; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Clayton Robert Lund, and two sisters, Judith Marie Lipin and Catherine Ellen Bieda. Art was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Arnold and Lily Mae Lund.
