Amy Starr Fryar

November 9, 1958 — March 7, 2018

Amy Starr Fryar passed on the evening of March 7, 2018, from complications of an illness. Amy was born on Nov. 9, 1958, and grew up in Burnet County, Texas. She attended Burnet High School and attained her CNA license in California.

Filled with compassion and interest in others, Amy made friends easily and maintained contact with many. She was active and loved helping others, most notably for feeding the homeless and caring for the elderly. She was a beloved CNA in the Hill Country for nearly 25 years and was a generous friend to those she cared for.

Before her illness, Amy was full of life and joy. She loved browsing for thrift store treasures, crafting, and cooking for others. She also loved spending time on the seashore, looking for shells and enjoying the sound of the waves. But what brought Amy the most joy was spending time with her beloved family. She was kind to anyone she met, though.

Amy is survived by her husband, Kelly Fryar, and her two children, Craig Mosley and wife Shirley, and Ashley Moore and husband Chris. Her stepchildren, Kelly Jr. Fryar, Chelsea Fryar and Ricci Gonzales, and grandchildren Kadin, Liam, Phillip, and Paislee, also survive her, as does her brother Roy Maddux III and wife Cheryl, and her sister Sherrie Buendel and husband Jerry.

Arrangements under the care of Jenkins Funeral Home, formerly Edgar Funeral Home, Burnet.
