Bobbie J. Smith, 77, of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away March 11, 2018. She was born in Rio Grande City, Texas, on Oct. 14, 1940.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam P. Smith, on June 18, 1996; her oldest son, Daniel Thomas, as well as three brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by children Wanda Nelson, Dora Neckar, and Samuel “Chief” Smith, and their children.

The family moved to Marble Falls in the mid-1970s and later lived in Austin while she was employed by the state. After retirement and the death of her husband, Bobbie moved back to Marble Falls, where she spent many hours telling stories, laughing, and enjoying fellowship at the Marble Falls Senior Activity Center. She had a strong faith and especially enjoyed her Sunday school class and the support and love of her church.

A memorial service is 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at First Baptist Church of Marble Falls.
