Dennis Louis David

February 20, 1956 — March 18, 2018

Dennis Louis David, 62, of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of March 18, 2018. Dennis was born on Feb. 20, 1956, in Taylor, Texas, to his parents, Emil Louis and Dorothy Marie (Gorubec) David. Dennis grew up in Marble Falls and enjoyed all the benefits of a small town, staying outside and playing with his friends until dark, riding his bicycle throughout the town and building forts down at the creek with Ricky Stieler. Dennis graduated from Marble Falls High School in 1974 and shortly, thereafter, enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He was stationed at Langley AFB Virginia and Austin Bergstrom AFB. After his military career, he worked for Ross Construction Inc. for more than 20 years. Dennis had a work ethic like no other and supervised the completion of many extensive projects. Dennis was a loving son, brother and uncle.

He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Thomas Wayne David.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Amber Degollado of Hutto, Texas; his sisters, Madeline Harlan of Round Rock, Texas, Patti Mills and husband, Keith, of Kingsland, Texas, and Kristi Conine of Lago Vista, Texas. Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Susie David of Georgetown, Texas, and many nieces and nephews. Dennis is also survived by his lifelong friend, Michael Mezger, and his wife, Lisa, whose friendship and caring cannot be overstated.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 23, at the Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, 1805 US 281, Marble Falls, at 2 p.m. A private family internment will be held at a later date.
