Kevin Eugene Statler

September 8, 1968 — July 19, 2018

On Thursday, July 19, 2018, our good Lord called another Angel home …

Kevin Eugene Statler, 49, of Marble Falls, was born on Sept. 8, 1968, to mother Donna Williams of Marble Falls and father Jimmy Statler of North Carolina. Kevin was raised in Burnet County, and although he traveled to many places in the Lone Star State, he always came back home. Kevin was known and loved by many, He was a legend of the Hill Country.

Kevin was a rough and tough cowboy and carried a southern charm. He was a hard working man and his character was one-of-a kind. He had a gift of making everyone smile. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, loved being outdoors and beautiful women. Kevin’s love for old country music was expressed by dancing and singing along to his favorite classics. He was always dressed in his very best and never left home without his cowboy hat and boots.

His comical sense of humor and contagious smile will be missed dearly but will never be forgotten.

Kevin is survived by both parents; daughter Courtney Statler and son Kevin Statler II of Kingsland; brothers, Chuck Statler of Bertram, Craig Statler of Marble Falls, Cody Caskey of Austin and Geren Bryant of Kingsland; aunts, Connie Williams of Marble Falls and Kit Davis of Louisiana; uncle Gary Williams of Houston; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by brother, James Statler; aunt, Sharon Smith; uncle, Bill Cain; and Lightening Statler.

A benefit will be held Saturday, July 28, at the VFW Post 10376 Hall in Marble Falls at 4 p.m. to help with funeral expenses and to share our memories of Kevin. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Marble Falls on Aug. 4 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 10376, Marble Falls.
