Louise (Bubba, Weezie) Bumpass

September 26, 1927 — October 7, 2018

Louise (Bubba, Weezie) Bumpass went to be with our King on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018.

She was born Sept. 26, 1927, in Bandera, Texas. She married James Byron Bumpass in January of 1965 and they moved to Granite Shoals, Texas.

She attended church for the first time at First Baptist Church Granite Shoals in 1964, became a member, and later went to work as church secretary for brother JD Benson, the first pastor of the church.

Louise was secretary for First Baptist Church Granite Shoals for every pastor that has served at the church, including the current pastor Randy Taylor.

Her service and love for God and the church has always been her passion. She also loved to travel, with her close friends.

She had a great love for her family as well. Her husband JB, and brother, HV Bryant, preceded her in death.

She has two children that she adored: Tony Bumpass, and Debbie Belk; six grandchildren, Sarah, Cody, Jane, Brandon, Tiffany, and Britney; and many great-grandchildren, and she doted on every one!

She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Gayle Bryant, and a host of cousins, family, and friends.

A memorial celebration service will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church Granite Shoals, 505 S. Phillips Ranch Road, Granite Shoals, Texas.

All who knew and loved her are invited to attend.
