James Earl Williams, 73, of Granite Shoals, Texas, passed away on October 24, 2018 at MD Andersons Hospital in Houston, Texas.

A graveside service was held Wednesday November 14, 2018 at the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Smithdale, Mississippi.

James was born on January 4, 1945, in McComb, Mississippi. He is the son of the late Samuel E. and Pauline Ford Williams.

James was an administrator for the oil industry and served in the U.S. Navy. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Chad Atwell.

He is survived by one sister, Sandra Williams Atwell (Rick); with numerous nieces and nephews.
