Seth Mabry “SM” Guthrie

Seth Mabry Guthrie, 91, of Angleton, Texas passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018 in Houston.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls, Texas.

Mr. Guthrie was born May 22, 1927, to Ike D. and Eva Yani Guthrie in Leander, Texas. The family later moved to Burnet, Texas. He was a United States Army veteran, a carpenter, loved the outdoors, and loved to tell stories. He also loved and spoiled his wife of 68 years, Margie Guthrie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margie; son, J.D. Guthrie; grandson, Chris Hildenburg; two sisters; and six brothers.

Survivors include his son, Don Guthrie and wife Wanda; grandchildren, Jodi, Danny, and Megan; seven great-grandchildren, as well as numerous other family and friends.
