Charles Immel Barry

Mr. Charles Immel Barry of Sunrise Beach Village, Texas, born on Aug. 11, 1930, in Schertz, Texas, to the late Pauline Immel Barry and the late William Ambrose Barry, passed away at age 88 on Nov. 12, 2018 in Sunrise Beach Village, Texas. He graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1948. Charles was the beloved husband of Joann Peatling Barry.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Charles Barry; and brother, William Barry.

Charles is survived by his daughters, Linda Barry Schattenberg and Pamela K Barry; brother, Donald Barry; sister, Johnilee Barry Templeton; and grandchildren, Traci A Loveless (caregiver) , Lisa J Weaver, Herbert J Schattenberg III, and Charles J Schattenberg.

Charles enjoyed building houses for his family (four of them), fixing or buildings anything and everything, running his ranch, hunting and fishing with his grands and great grands. He was a member at Packsaddle Fellowship.

Friends and family can pay their respects at the celebration of life service, officiated by Robert Billingslea, on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Packsaddle Fellowship, 508 Ranch to Market Road 2900, Kingsland.
